Ivana Cetkovic
Baroque Violin

Ivana was born in 1981 in Belgrade and attended the Music School for Talented Children in Cupria (Serbia & Montenegro) where she won numerous prizes. She finished her Bachelor Degree at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, Serbia. During her studies she won a scholarship for a chamber music summer school in Sweden. Ivana finished her postgraduate studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with David Takeno and Arisa Fuita. Currently she is doing a fellowship program at the Guildhall School with Jacqueline Ross as her mentor.

As soloist and as a solo violin of the St George Strings Chamber Orchestra Ivana has performed in most of the main concert halls in England, France, Germany, Sweden, Italy and Serbia. She has been a member of the orchestra since 1998 and a Principal Second Violin since 2000. In 2004 Ivana started developing a great interest in the early music and since has been studying baroque violin with Rachel Podger. She is a member of Belgrade Baroque Ensemble that was found 4 years ago. The ensemble regularly performs in Serbia and Sweden and recently had a very successful concert tour with the new play "Days with Monteverdi" in Stockholm, Sweden. In London she is regularly performing as a member of the Little Baroque Company, baroque ensemble that has participated in major baroque festivals in the UK such as Brighton Early Music Festival and Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
